The PS1 BIOS is like the brain that wakes up your PlayStation 1 every time it starts. It checks the hardware, runs the startup screen, and makes sure your game loads correctly. When emulating on PC, Android, or Mac, you need this same brain in the form of a .BIN file.

With BIOS
Ensure file is named correctly (e.g., scph1001.bin), placed in /bios/ or /system/ folder, and BIOS directory is set in emulator settings.
Use the right region BIOS (USA/Japan/Europe). Try switching between scph1001.bin and scph7502.bin. Check emulator logs for errors.
BIOS may be corrupted. Download a fresh copy. Ensure it's a .bin file and not renamed or edited.
Unzip the BIOS file if inside a ZIP. Verify correct folder path. Restart the emulator after changing settings.
Match BIOS to ROM region: USA → scph1001.bin, Japan → scph5500.bin, Europe → scph7502.bin.
